About Me
User Researcher • Former Teacher • Eldest Daughter
I started my career as a fourth-grade teacher in the South Bronx. I spent five years in five different classrooms, each one a new lesson in empathy, creativity, and of course, patience. I became obsessed with understanding my students’ needs and motivations deeply enough to impact their learning meaningfully. From the beginning, one belief has guided me like a steady drumbeat: every student deserves an engaging, transformational education.
While in the classroom, I was bombarded with edtech platforms promising to “make teaching easier”. But the truth was, most of them missed the mark entirely. They didn’t understand the realities of the classroom or the actual needs of teachers and students. I know what it’s like to have a poorly- designed product forced on you. And trust me, it sucks.
That frustration is exactly what pulled me into edtech. I didn’t just want to complain about what wasn’t working, I wanted to help build something better. So I made the leap into designing learning products used by teachers across the country. And now, my path has led me to user research, where I’ll get to do what I’ve always loved most: listen closely to educators and students to uncover what they truly want and need. Who better than someone who’s actually watched a room full of fourth graders forget their passwords simultaneously?
In my spare time, I like to paddleboard with my dog, throw ceramics on the wheel, and read books that make me look cool on my Goodreads profile.
